BSOD Loop - CorsairVBusDriver.sys failure

After running optional system update for Corsair devices, my ASUS RoG G771 laptop is completely unusable.  It's stuck in a BSOD reboot loop and not one recovery method is working.  I wasn't provided a recovery disk with the laptop and apparently it's unable to boot from USB.  I can't even reset the OS because it prompts for an outlook.com password and says the one I provide is incorrect (I've confirmed I am entering the latest password for the account and it's working on other devices).  Safe mode doesn't work, either.

Others have posted this on the Corsair forum and the company doesn't answer.  My laptop is now a boat anchor and I'm desperate for a solution...

Thanks man, this saved my ****. Oddly pnputil -e *cors* wouldn't work, so I had to do pnputil -e | more and manually scan the list. Other than that I didn't have anything in FileRepository or drivers, but did have a .inf file in Install. Thanks again.

Thanks, that's what had happened yes.

For anyone else, you can figure out which drive your installation is on with diskpart:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>diskpart

    Microsoft DiskPart version 10.0.19041.610

    Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation.

    On computer: 7390RM

    DISKPART> list volume

    ...

I finally found that the Corsair utility was on StartUp, so once I removed it from there, I followed JasonR's steps pretty much and I managed to get my Dell back without reset!

Hey everyone. I woke up with the same problem. Computer restarted a few times, I was able to log in for about 80 seconds, then it crashed and started the BSOD loop.

I've tried everything listed in this thread, I've cleaned out the corsair .infs, deleted all the folders, etc etc. Every time the computer restarts, it seems those files are loaded back up again.

Something must be loading them. Any ideas? I can't system restore, it won't work for some reason. I can't roll back the lastest feature / quality updates, it gives me an error.

I'm pretty pissed and obviously never buying a corsair product again.

I'm having exactly the same problem as you. I'm able to delete the drivers but they are instantly back when I reboot and I'm faced with the same BSOD. How did you remove the Corsair Utility from startup? I can only use the command prompt in windows recovery...
