BSOD Loop - CorsairVBusDriver.sys failure

After running optional system update for Corsair devices, my ASUS RoG G771 laptop is completely unusable.  It's stuck in a BSOD reboot loop and not one recovery method is working.  I wasn't provided a recovery disk with the laptop and apparently it's unable to boot from USB.  I can't even reset the OS because it prompts for an outlook.com password and says the one I provide is incorrect (I've confirmed I am entering the latest password for the account and it's working on other devices).  Safe mode doesn't work, either.

Others have posted this on the Corsair forum and the company doesn't answer.  My laptop is now a boat anchor and I'm desperate for a solution...

    I just finished my reinstall, everything running well so far with the same old Corsair keyboard. If I understood it correctly, the underlying reason for the crash in the first place was the outdated version of Corsair's CUE software used to control the macros and LEDs of Corsair peripherals. I hadn't updated this software in years probably, so it was not surprising it didn't like the new windows update. I don't even have the whole software installed at all anymore and everything is running fine. So yeah, I wouldn't worry about it although if you must have it installed I would make sure you get the newest possible version from their website.

    Get the full list of oemXX.inf drivers from both calls:

    dism /Online /Get-Drivers>drivers.txt

    or

    dism /Image:C:\ /Get-Drivers>drivers.txt

    And

    pnputil -e>driverspnp.txt

    You may end up with just three distinct drivers, use these to remove them:

    pnputil -f -d oemXX.inf

    And/Or this if it works:

    dism /Image:C:\ /Remove-Driver /Driver:oemXX.inf

    Plus this to uninstall them:

    pnputil /delete-driver oemXX.inf /uninstall

    Make sure you also follow Corsair's instructions I posted earlier to remove the registry entries and installation files manually:

    I also found a couple of other registry keys that I removed:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\CorsairVHidDriver]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\CorsairVBusDriver]

    Plus of course the other instructions posted by JasonR to remove the Corsair files and from Start Up, which seemed to work for me.

    Took me 7 hours to eventually fix my work laptop; I just kept trying different ways to get rid of them.
