BSOD Loop - CorsairVBusDriver.sys failure

After running optional system update for Corsair devices, my ASUS RoG G771 laptop is completely unusable.  It's stuck in a BSOD reboot loop and not one recovery method is working.  I wasn't provided a recovery disk with the laptop and apparently it's unable to boot from USB.  I can't even reset the OS because it prompts for an outlook.com password and says the one I provide is incorrect (I've confirmed I am entering the latest password for the account and it's working on other devices).  Safe mode doesn't work, either.

Others have posted this on the Corsair forum and the company doesn't answer.  My laptop is now a boat anchor and I'm desperate for a solution...

    I was able to get back into windows by  restoring a recovery point that was before I installed the corsair driver. I unplugged my corsair keyboard and disconnected Internet while I did this.

    Then I immediately uninstalled the Corsair drivers from Windows and rebooted.

    After reboot, I reconnected Internet and downloaded the corsair driver for my keyboard from the corsair website directly and rebooted.

    It seems fine now except for the fact that Windows update seems broken because it's searching for updates forever without results.

    I have the same problem, except the booting after system recovery crashed again with the corsair problem. 

    Since then I am in a BSOD loop with error CRITICAL PROCESS DIED...

     any ideas how to go on from here?

    I'm having the same issue and worked on it forever last night and couldnt figure it out. 

    My pc will not boot in safe mode and apparently I do not have a good restore point to go back to. I uninstalled newest windows update using the option on the blue screen and still nothing. The only thing I have access to is command prompt.

    I used command prompt and found the corsair driver inf #'s by using driverquery and pnputil. Once I found the numbers, I used

    pnputil -d oem5.inf command which is supposed to delete the driver. I restarted my pc after that and it is still in automatic repair mode and is still in the restarting loop. 

    Any other info on how I can get past this using only command prompt? 

    I also do not currently have my USB drive with windows on it to do a fresh install.

    I'd still remove Corsair Utility Engine, make sure you remove the CorsairVBusDriver.sys from everywhere (I listed the steps/spots above).

    Then if you want Corsair CUE (for macros or keyboard lighting) go get the latest version and install that.

    Then you should be good to re-enable Windows Updates.  Assuming Corsair fixed their issues in the latest versions of CUE.

    Or if you don't need that Corsair garbage, then just don't install it at all and you should be fine.
