Update 20H2 won't install

Hello!

I noticed my pc needed to update, and clicked update and restart (for whatever reason, update and shutdown wasn't an option, just sleep, shutdown, or update and restart). Part of the way through the update my computer blue screened and restarted. After this, it rolled back what it had installed. When I got back into windows, update 20H2 had not installed, and I noticed that another update, KB4580980, was needed. When I attempted to install, it ran into errors. I restarted my computer, and attempted to install again, and this time despite not showing any errors, after restarting as requested, no update was applied, though update KB4580980 had installed. This time I tried to uninstall any updates I'd made today, but could only remove KB4580980. After restarting, it still won't update, and now KB4580980 won't install either.

I don't want to do any formats to my computer, because re-installing all my apps is annoying, and if a reset that doesn't delete my files doesn't work then I'll have to buy an external hard-drive to backup my data and do a complete format, which I'd also like to avoid.

Anyone have any idea what to do? Thanks for your help.

Try updating to version 20H2 using the Media Creation tool and if it fails let us know.

The fastest way to get the upgrade is through the Media creation tool or ISO file.

Please download Media Creation Tool from the link below and select Upgrade this PC at the first screen.

    Received a message that said update to window 10 verison 20H2, but it keeps saying we can't install some updates because other updates are running. I have restarted my computer several times and nothing. It says i am currently running a version of windows that is nearing the end of service. I don't know what to do, and I am afraid to start clicking on things. Please tell me what I should do> I thought i was doing updates when we sign off, but now I get this and when I check it shows failed updates several times.

    Didn't work. The computer crashed. I also tried a windows reset, either preserving files or deleting files, and it would not allow me to proceed.

    Any other suggestions?

    My problem seemed to be the May 2020 update failure.  Run the Media Creation Tool 2004 updater.  When I did that it fully updated me to 20H2 as well.

    I tried the whole weekend to install the update.No good. I did use the Norton uninstall tool, ran scan disc and disc  clean up. It still crashes during installation.

    Any other suggestions?
