Update 20H2 won't install

Hello!

I noticed my pc needed to update, and clicked update and restart (for whatever reason, update and shutdown wasn't an option, just sleep, shutdown, or update and restart). Part of the way through the update my computer blue screened and restarted. After this, it rolled back what it had installed. When I got back into windows, update 20H2 had not installed, and I noticed that another update, KB4580980, was needed. When I attempted to install, it ran into errors. I restarted my computer, and attempted to install again, and this time despite not showing any errors, after restarting as requested, no update was applied, though update KB4580980 had installed. This time I tried to uninstall any updates I'd made today, but could only remove KB4580980. After restarting, it still won't update, and now KB4580980 won't install either.

I don't want to do any formats to my computer, because re-installing all my apps is annoying, and if a reset that doesn't delete my files doesn't work then I'll have to buy an external hard-drive to backup my data and do a complete format, which I'd also like to avoid.

Anyone have any idea what to do? Thanks for your help.

Try updating to version 20H2 using the Media Creation tool and if it fails let us know.

The fastest way to get the upgrade is through the Media creation tool or ISO file.

Please download Media Creation Tool from the link below and select Upgrade this PC at the first screen.

    I have tried every step including installed a fresh windows 10 and still can't update to the 20h2 this is clearly some thing that Microsoft needs to patch. FIX THE PROBLEM Already its been mouths

    I had the same problem no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to upgrade and it's really annoying I've tried it for weeks now over and over again I've tried every solution and I am hoping that I don't have to clean reinstall everything cuz it will be annoying

    The only option that is available in your reply is to do a full wipe of the machine. I tried this method and it forced me to wipe my entire computer (all other options were greyed out). This is not a feasible solution to this issue. This problem is not solved.
