I don't know why but all the WINDOWS links near the bottom you provide in your post on 11/13 bring me to a 403 - Forbidden page. ?????
I need to officially change my user name to WYNNDOPE. (I see you laughing Reno.) I did get the creation tool and I opted to DL the ISO file. I've also downloaded both Rufus and Etcher. Seems Etcher may be easier. I have not attempted to move it to a flash drive YET until I figure out a few things first. I'm posting a screen shot of my Download and properties.
Does
the 4.57 GB seem to be a correct size for the ISO file? I have no idea why it shows Open with: 7-zip File Manager. ????? Is it necessary to get new ISO files periodically, or is it a one time DL and I'm finished? Believe me, I've searched for answers on
line and gave feedback to MS on the creation tool site when they asked what they can do to make the page more user friendly... something along those lines. I basically told them I'm a computer idiot and more information would be helpful :D
If what I've done so far seems OK ... I will TRY to use Etcher to get the ISO to my flash drive. Another stupid question: I have the original windows 10 Home edition CD that came with my computer. If all else fails.... it is still possible to use that as a starting point? I realize it would be VERY outdated but at least it has the OS on it... i think!!!!! I'm still going to put off any updates for as long as I can after reading about all the carnage here. I'm running Win HOME 1909 version. When 1909 gets put in the boneyard, I don't know.
Thanks to anyone who has any answers to my dumb questions. To: MS: As Oliver Hardy said: "Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into."
