IMPORTANT

Windows 10, version 1809, will reach end of service on November 10, 2020 for devices running Windows 10 Home, Pro, Pro for Workstation, and IoT Core editions. These devices will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates that contain protection from the latest security threats. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends updating to the latest version of Windows 10.

IMPORTANT

If you want to update to Windows 10, version 1909, you must use the Enablement Package KB4517245 (EKB). Using the EKB makes updating faster and easier and requires a single restart. Help... I have been unable to update Windows since November 2019 as every time I downloaded and installed updates Windows could not log me into my account. I tried absolutely everything bar reinstalling Windows but to no avail. The standard procedure would be to uninstall the updates then go about fixing any damage done to keyboard printers etc. Today was dreaded update day yet again and Windows advised it was downloading, Feature Update + 2020 10 Update 1909 X 64 KB4023057 + 2020 11 Net Framework KB4580980

    • Malicious Malware Removal Tool KB890830. To my complete shock and amazement Windows installed updates restarted and allowed me to log into my account.

This process took 7 hours +. Now I do not want to jump the gun here but to my continued amazement everything appears to be working correctly though a few days will tell the tale.

When I go to view the installed updates all I am seeing is the Feature Update. When I go to view the installed updates in the uninstall options I do not see any of the updates purportedly installed. But I see about 20 updates for my Office Pro 2007 suite. When I check the version of Windows I have installed I see Windows 10 Home Version 2004 OS Build 19041.630 Feature Pack 120.2212.31.0.

I would appreciate if anyone here could advise me if my system is now up to date.

How/why things have seemingly taken such a great turn for the better.

If I would benefit from upgrading to Windows 10 Pro.

In Office 365 worth the money.

    Thanks

It was not offered to my device, so I manually installed it.
