Bluetooth mouse freezes intermittently since the May Windows 10 (ver. 2004) update

Hi I don't know if this will help but I had this problem on a customers computer repair I was doing and he had the same issue using his Logitech Pebble. its not a fix but when I turned on display pointer trails under Mouse Settings -> Advanced Mouse Options -> Pointer Options it stops the freezing. I have to leave the trail ON in order for it to work but I came across this and wanted to share

Furstrating as my 'expensive' MS Modern Mouse with brand new 2021 Lenovo i7 PC is rendered frozen routinely by the this BT hang problem.

Either momentarily hanging or outright suspended & forces a reboot of the PC.

I am unsure as to the duration - however, best guess is I first encountered this sometime mid last year ...ish. That was a logitech MX Ergo, worked flawlessly with the receiver, but on bluetooth - you guessed it, total pauses of mouse functionality (wheel, trackball, button clicks ... everything). Now at the time, I rather dismissed it since I had the mouse 6 month or more before I remembered to use it. I wrote it off as a wonky bluetooth issue, specific to my mouse (some sort of defect). While aggravating every time I went to use it (oh yeah, screwy bluetooth issue, I would just use the receiver). Since that original time - have misplaced the receiver, but the bluetooth issue still remains ....****. No big deal - I ordered a new M575 (yes, I have been a trackball user for a long time).

Got mouse today.

EXACT SAME ISSUE.

I am not sure I am able to eloquently or without vulgarity describe to you how aggravated I am currently. For all that is holy - Microsoft - figure out what the hell is going on here. In testing today and with the original MX Ergo, across 4 different notebooks, it does it on every single one when connected to bluetooth. Driver uninstall/install, uncheck power management - none of that makes any difference. To add insult to injury - booted one of the notebooks up with my multiboot jump drive with multiple linux distros/live images (not sure which one I selected) and the mouse works fine in bluetooth.

So 6 months minimum, possibly a year plus ? So, poke, bump, man the battles stations, hoist the sails, kick the pig, crash the mud - whatever you need to do, but how about this gets some attention and resolved.

Same issue here with Logitech MX3. I'm waiting for the final fix before I will upgrade to version 2004. Can't believe Microsoft is doing nothing about it for sooooooooo long.

I have a similar issue that some are reporting here, except that my Bluetooth Precision Mouse and Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard will freeze indefinitely until I open the Bluetooth Settings panel using my wired keyboard (without toggling any settings, just opening settings) and then the mouse reconnects. This already happened to me twice since I started typing this.

As always, I've tried every thing under the sun to get this to work and Microsoft support only provides the same old low effort reply ("turn it off and on again", "update drivers", "toggle the power management settings"...etc, etc). This is my first time using a Windows after years of Mac (I had to for work) so I'm again disappointed to see Windows is still just as much a mess as I remember.
