I do not want efficiency mode running at all for google chrome as it is the main browser I use for work and school.

Someone else said it had to do with the McAfee WebAdvisor extension https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/209111340/chrome-has-been-slow-and-unstable-since-03-2023?hl=en I turned the extension off and my Chrome works fine now! I do not have that extension and am suffering the same issue.

I have solved the issue, when your maccafee thingie I.e. anti virus protection expires your browser becomes slow, that was the case for me, as one user pointed stopping it allows your chrome to run fast and smoothly That however does not stop efficiency mode, but on the other hand it works faster, way faster than it ever had Stop the maccaffe web advisor extension to run smoothly

I turned the extension off and my Chrome works fine now!

I do not have that extension and am suffering the same issue.
