Only certain sub-processes of chrome are in efficiency mode. The only difference between yesterday and today, is that efficiency mode is active non-stop. I do not want efficiency mode running at all for google chrome as it is the main browser I use for work and school.

It seems like MS trying to block all browsers except Edge...

the only diff between Brave and other browsers is you can turn E mode off in this browser and not in any other. i am using Brave after seeing your comment. thanks 🙏 its frustrating how a super speedy computer is slowed down with this 'bug'!

You need to do this....modify the shortcut to use the disable efficiency mode and always use this shortcut. If not you know the problems. "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" -disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess Cheers dj
