Hey folks. Microsoft will not assist you in fixing a Windows 10 system. It has already been given a termination date. I had all the same issues, and complaints. And your are all correct. They aren't nearly as on the ball as they used to be. Just come at the problem from another angle .
The February 22H2 patch took away my administrator privileges. In no time, as updates for Firefox, Adobe, etc. came my way, I couldn't install them. So, I read up, and followed the advice of a veteran here. Do s clean install. In my case, it meant forcing the machine into primary repair mode, defeating the administrator privileges completely. Now, all my stuff is backed up. If you haven't already done that, you might want to
If your can't, then consider starting from scratch. Your issues are not as grave as mine were. I am not going to say how I got into repair mode. TenForums was suggested to me. And I followed the instructions to the letter. Now, I read that I had to repeat a procedure 3 or 4 times. Nah, I had to repeat the same thing 15 times. And got into repair mode. It asked me if I wanted to do a repair install? Yes. From scratch? Yes. It took about two and a half hours. I had an OEM Windows 10 22H2 ver. 19045, with all the updates in. And I have not had a lick of trouble. There is a good forum here, on Windows 10 Update Issues. It's moderator is a guy named Greg. Check it out. Just take back control of your machine
