Windows 10 Version 22H2 (KB5022834) will not update
2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022834) will not update for the past month.
The message "We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes" keeps appearing.
I am on
Edition: Windows 10 Home
Version: 22H2
Installed on: 25/12/2020
OS Build: 19045.2251
Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0
I have tried running the Windows Update troubleshooter.
I am unsure what else to do as I am a newbie at this.
I would appreciate any assistance with this.
Thanks in advance.

2023-02-21T05:27:49+00:00 I have a fulltime job, including week-ends, have no time to manipulate Win all the day. I'll try if I have a bit time, but for now no time. An OS is supposed to be functional, that's the sense of "operating" system in OS. Sorry to remind that. ;)

2023-02-20T20:36:41+00:00 I will have to investigate this inplace upgrade.
When I booted from a recovery USB, it wanted to format my drive and re-install.
I did and restored my latest backup--- all my programs and personal stuff was gone!
I had an image of the disk from an image program and put everything back but I would have been totally screwed without the image.
BTW, I do not store any data files on the OS drive.

That is NOT an acceptable option for me.
Let me clarify this. A repair installation (a.k.a, in-place upgrade) retains your apps, settings, and data. For example, when you install a Feature Update, it actually does an in-place upgrade, and that's how your programs/files/settings are intact.

Try running chkdsk c: /r
Reboot the computer and let Chdsk complete repairing the disk.
Once logged into Windows, download and run SFCFix.
