Xbox App keeps asking me to download Gaming Services

I just got Game Pass a few days ago and haven't been able to play it once because every single time I hit on Install a screen telling me to Download Gaming Services keeps popping up even though I've already installed it numerous times. I'm turning to this because I have no idea what to do, I've already tried a bunch of different suggestions from people such as: Repairing and Reseting all the apps, I've tried to uninstall and install with Powershell, I've tried to update through the windows store, I've updated everything on Windows, I tried going into the registry and I deleted the GamingServices and GamingServices.net but Nothing works at all, I've completely given up on this, I feel scammed because I just got Game Pass and I haven't been to play a single game.

One weird thing I noticed and I don't know if this is normal is that when I go over to my account settings on the Xbox App on the segment where it says "GameInstall Options" I get some weird error that says "There was a problem loading installation locations. Try Again" But it never gives me that chance to change anything.

    Hi all, had this problem too and seemed to have found a fix at least for my case.

    Go to add or remove programs, search for gaming services, go to advance options, press on terminate, then repair, then reset.

    Do the same for the Xbox app, and Xbox live app.

    Re open the Xbox app, log in and should it work.

    the xbox app for windows 10 is the least user friendly worst customer service most **** up app ever developed. ive been having issues with this **** since 7th grade and i start filling out college applications this year. the people at microsoft need to get their **** together, why would i pay to use services that dont work 90% of the time

    I had this exact problem and had no luck going through Xbox uninstall/reinstall cycles and reset+repair. What finally did it for me was to follow the Windows 11 repair in place.

    I had this exact same issue and after 8ish hours of non stop trying to fix it and searching for help, including everything from this thread, I found an answer that worked for me and everyone else that has tried it.

    Please try this:

    Open a new powershell window as administrator (Press Windows key + X) or Right click on windows and select Powershell Admin

    Then type this command:
    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Check first if your main issue has been resolved.
    If not, run again the gaming services removal command:

    Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

    Finally restart the PC

    I have the same problem. Seems like it stopped working after the last automatic update of Windows 11 from Microsoft. Worked fine the day prior to the update.
