I have the same issue. I even tried to remove the Google safety app equivalent to see if there was a blockage that way. Didn't work!
Now this location sharing feature is of almost the highest priority there is for me! I want and needs this fixed!

Hello. I have two children with Android phones (Samsung S21's). We have used Microsoft Family Safety for a few years and location tracking has worked perfectly until a few weeks ago when it stopped updating their locations.
I looked at every setting on both their phones, making sure all of the recommended location settings, security settings, battery settings were correct. Still couldn't get their location which showed they were both "In the house" when they were actually at school.
I uninstalled the app from both phones and reinstalled it. I followed all of the security prompts for the recommended settings. Both phones started to report their location again.
However... one of my children is on a school trip. Their phone last reported in five hours ago from a service station 250 miles away. They are now at their destination, but the Microsoft Family Safety app still shows them where they were five hours ago (extremely worrying for a parent).
Looks like the probkem has happened again. This must be a Microsoft problem What are the chances of both my kids phones stopping reporting their location at exactly the same time?
Come on Microsoft please fix this. Our children are very important to us and the app is called Microsoft "Family Safety".

I have the same problem. Location updates fine from my wife's iPhone. Delayed hours to days on both mine and my daughters Androids.
Switched to Life360 for family tracking. It gives you a history too, and although it is a bit delayed at times, it gives you piece of mind to know where to start looking if you can't get hold of those roaming teenagers.
No point in complaining or posting here. I think we're seeing this thing dying until at least Microsoft comes back and effectively mends it for all of us?
POST YOUR REVIEWS people! One small thing we can all do. I just checked Google Play and there are more 5 stars than 1...
Also, have a look at the brilliant Life360 while you're there ;)
Wow, glad I found this.....Come on MS, why is this taking so long to fix? And to the despicable MS Agent who posted that instead you should call you kid....haha...not a clue about how and why we want to use this software. How rude!
