How to turn off Windows security asking me for a password to see my Google Chrome passwords

I was able to test this in a VM. You will need to have a local account for this that does not have a password. As long as you have a user profile that has a password, Windows will ask you for it.

If you are trying to view your passwords in chrome, and you have a lot of them. I would suggest exporting these passwords to a CSV, that way you'd be able to view them all at once. You can do this by going to Chrome Settings (in 3 dots) > Autofill > Password manager > click 3 dots (right beside "Add") > Export.

I have the same issue and this does NOT fix the problem. I want to TURN OFF windows authentication for my cached chrome passwords. How do we turn it OFF?

it is a chrome setting >> Autofill and Passwords?? Password Manager >> Use Windows Hello when Filling In Passwords >> Turn off

I unfortunately don't see this option
