Just to keep everyone up to date, there's a new setting:
"Use and save passwords and passkeys from your Google Account"
Which you ALSO have to go disable to stop being bugged about passkeys all of the time.

How can I turn off Windows security asking me for a password to see my Google Chrome passwords. This is a real inconvenience.

it is a chrome setting >> Autofill and Passwords?? Password Manager >> Use Windows Hello when Filling In Passwords >> Turn off
It's turned off on my laptop and the system is still asking for account username and password to access saved passwords
