Why is Microsoft Solitaire and Casual Games not opening up the last few days. I even reset, uninstalled, and reinstalled. Still will not open.

I am unable to open Microsoft Solitaire and Casual Games the last few days. First it was telling me there was no internet connection when there was. Then it just stopped opening up.

I first did and trouble shoot and fix on Microsoft Store.

I ended up having to Reset the Microsoft Solitaire and Casual Games - losing all my years of scores and challenges.

Still not working.

Day 4. Gave up and Uninstalled Microsoft Solitaire and Casual Games and Reinstalled. Still not working.

I pay for a premium subscription for a game I cannot even play.

Any ideas what is wrong?

    Hi Joycel,

Thank you for keeping me updated on the issue with Solitaire and Casual Games. I'm sorry to hear that you're still unable to open the games, despite checking that your internet connection and firewall settings are not causing any problems.

Since you mentioned that your Windows 10 operating system is up-to-date, it's possible that the issue could be related to the installation files of the games themselves. Have you tried running the Microsoft Store app troubleshooter again? This could help identify any potential issues with the installation process. Here is the link to that: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

Another possible solution would be to try creating a new user account on your computer and installing the games under that account. This could help identify if the problem is specific to your user account or if it's a system-wide issue.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, and I'll be happy to assist you further.

    Best regards,

    John D.

Hi there, I'm John D, and I am an independent advisor.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing issues with Microsoft Solitaire and Casual Games on Windows 10. It can be frustrating when something we rely on suddenly stops working.

Based on what you've shared, it seems like you've already tried troubleshooting steps like resetting and reinstalling the games, but unfortunately, they still won't open. Losing all your scores and challenges must have been disappointing.

Have you checked to make sure that Windows 10 is up to date with the latest software updates? Sometimes, issues with apps can be caused by outdated software. Additionally, you may want to try disabling any antivirus or firewall software temporarily to see if that is causing any conflicts with the games.

I hope these suggestions help to resolve the issue so that you can start enjoying the games again. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist you.

    Best regards,

    John D.
