Hi Rick,

I'm Christine, a Windows user like you. I'll do my best to help you.

Looks like you're getting a popped up of iCloud on your startup.

This usually occurs when it's enabled on Startup Settings.

To disable it, please follow the steps below:

Press right click the Start Menu and choose Task Manager, then select the Startup tab and right-click iCloud and select Disable.

Restart your device and it should not popped up on your startup.

Please let me know the result. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.

Thank you,

Christine L

I have been opening Task Manager and ending any tasks associated with iCloud. Before that I also disabled anything related to iCloud in the Startup Apps also located in Task Manager. That works for quite a while but then it will start popping up again. Until I can find a permanent solution this is the best work-around I have found.

There have been a lot of replies since I first posted this issue. It sounds to me like it's an ongoing problem for a lot of people.

Here's how I solved the problem: Uninstall iCloud. This is the only thing that really works, and you don't need it. You can find all the same stuff by just signing in to icloud.com.

Agree. This is really the only thing that works.
