Windows 11 is limiting my internet speeds

When I go into my network connections tab under my control panel I can see that the speed of the connection varies but usually stays between 150Mb/s to 180Mb/s however when it comes to browsing or downloading things I'm only getting between 3-5Mb/s.

I have already gone through and uninstalled then reinstalled brand new drivers as well as this being a brand new PC.

Metered connections is off

I also know its not anything to do with my network as when testing the speed on other devices it usually stays between 150Mb/s to 180Mb/s as well.

I have tried everything that I can find however nothing has worked thus far and I am just very confused why my computer just doesn't seem to want to use its available internet.

For specs I'm running a gigabyte B450M D3SH WIFI motherboard, Ryzen 5 2600, RTX 2070 super, 16 gigs of ram, 500 GB SSD, 2TB HDD. Running the most current version of windows 11

This was my dream gaming pc and so to have this slow of wifi makes it somewhat useless

    Just tried your suggestion. Fiber optic internet service up to 1 gig, but at computer (across about 80 feet of house) varying between 50 and 100 Mbs. Didn't restart PC. Tested with trwo speed test apps. Speed doubled. Thanks.

    This is for Lester BernardReyes, hoping you'll get this message - I HAD a problem with my internet upload speeds, my Spectrum downloads run about 550 and normal upload is around 21. However on one computer, I only had upload speeds of 2 to 4. I found you answered that question back in 2021 with almost the exact same set of instructions as given here. The first time I did just the WWAN step, turned it off and turned it on, and it fixed the upload. 2 days later it was down to under 1 - download was still 550+. So I tried again, no change. So I followed the second set of instructions (netsh and ipconfig). NOW, INSTEAD OF 550+ DOWNLOAD, I HAVE ONLY 70 DOWNLOAD. Upload continues in the 4 to 6 range. WHAT HAPPENED?? How do I get my original settings back to download at 550+ ????

    Oh this is AWESOME. Made the Services settings adjustments and my download speed went from a very restrained cap of 150Mbps to my full internet download speed from my provider. Love it! Thank you!

    Hi, thanks for replying, if none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

    Note: If the issue persists, I suggest contacting the motherboard manufacturer or a local technician to check for any hardware problems.

    unfortunately none of these steps fixed my issue

    despite the fact that it looks like my connection is over 100Mb/s my computer seems to not want to use it
