Windows 11 is limiting my internet speeds

When I go into my network connections tab under my control panel I can see that the speed of the connection varies but usually stays between 150Mb/s to 180Mb/s however when it comes to browsing or downloading things I'm only getting between 3-5Mb/s.

I have already gone through and uninstalled then reinstalled brand new drivers as well as this being a brand new PC.

Metered connections is off

I also know its not anything to do with my network as when testing the speed on other devices it usually stays between 150Mb/s to 180Mb/s as well.

I have tried everything that I can find however nothing has worked thus far and I am just very confused why my computer just doesn't seem to want to use its available internet.

For specs I'm running a gigabyte B450M D3SH WIFI motherboard, Ryzen 5 2600, RTX 2070 super, 16 gigs of ram, 500 GB SSD, 2TB HDD. Running the most current version of windows 11

This was my dream gaming pc and so to have this slow of wifi makes it somewhat useless

    Thank you, but this did nothing for download and cut my upload from 110mb to about 50

    So. I have that problem. Windows limits my apps tro 0,1 mbps. I have however seen it go up to 0,3 mbps. But i still have this issue. So could you please like make instructions how to resotre the slow internet speeds. I have the lastest windows 11 update and i have tryed everything. PLEASE help. i have ethernet

    Re-enable Autotuning : netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal

    I tested disabling Autotune vs enabled and it made a huge difference in speed (negatively affecting it when disabled).

    The problem is the issue keeps returning. Having tested this to destruction on my win11 system it occurs every time I open a Teams and Zoom client - probably others. (Did not happen on Win10).

    You can simply open Task Manager, and delete the Teams or Zoom processes and watch the internet speed return.

    I raised this with Teams support - they shrugged shoulders and requested I open a ticket with the Windows team because it is not just a Teams issue :-(

    I have stopped using Teams and Zoom clients - I will wait until the Windows team fixes it or I get a new system.

    This is for Lester BernardReyes, hoping you'll get this message - I HAD a problem with my internet upload speeds, my Spectrum downloads run about 550 and normal upload is around 21. However on one computer, I only had upload speeds of 2 to 4. I found you answered that question back in 2021 with almost the exact same set of instructions as given here. The first time I did just the WWAN step, turned it off and turned it on, and it fixed the upload. 2 days later it was down to under 1 - download was still 550+. So I tried again, no change. So I followed the second set of instructions (netsh and ipconfig). NOW, INSTEAD OF 550+ DOWNLOAD, I HAVE ONLY 70 DOWNLOAD. Upload continues in the 4 to 6 range. WHAT HAPPENED?? How do I get my original settings back to download at 550+ ????

    Hey Robert, I had the same problem as you. After following the second set of steps, my download speeds shot down. To fix it, you can follow the steps here to see the explanations https://pureinfotech.com/disable-window-auto-tuning-fix-slow-internet-speeds-windows-10/ , or just type this into admin cmd, "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal".
