How to enable seconds in system clock

Title says it all.

Found this article, which had a couple suggestions: https://winaero.com/how-to-enable-seconds-for-the-taskbar-clock-in-windows-11/

" Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors, and check the “Show seconds in system tray clock” option."

Is not there for me

Tried registry fixes, but that made it worse and actually removed the system clock all together, while also breaking the start menu completely. Had to undo that change and now back to square one.

Why on Earth would Microsoft remove the seconds from the clock? I use it quite often for a game I play.. Very frustrating when they remove common sense features like this. Really looks like MSoft put some extremely incompetent people in charge of Win 11. Reminds me of when they hired the guy from Nike to design Win 8 Metro UI. I think we all remember how that went!!

EDIT: WAS fixed for about 2 months with April update, but now it's gone again!!!

Someone from Microsoft owes me an explanation!!

Fix in latest stable update from April (then one bot on Path Tuesday, but later).

    Add DWORD(32), mod "1"; log off and log back on to activate.

    Windows 11:
    Taskbar/Behaviors/Show seconds in system tray clock. Check.

    As a software developer who often works with communications between devices on a network, timing is often a critical issue when troubleshooting which packets or devices are sending or receiving and when they did so. So having an accurate clock that displays time down to the second, is an essential software development tool.

    Whoever made the decision to remove seconds from the system clock, is clearly not someone who works in a developer area and needs to have that kind of decision making authority removed, because its a completely ignorant point of view. Looks like this kind of decision is one of those that happens again, because the company has grown so large they have completely lost touch with their users.

    We're dealing with individuals who live in a bubble and no longer communicate with each other or different groups within the company as a whole. Or decision makers in silos, and that's a problem I see on every level of every product Microsoft makes.

    Since Gates has left the company, while they still inovate well, they have for the most part steadly gone down hill, because every decision can be linked back to ringing the cash register. Customer satisfaction concerns don't exist unless your a corporation paying for support. This is why so many IT profressional and companies have said F___It and gone to some open source solution or a Linux destro.

    They moved the the "Seconds in System Clock" somewhere else. It's not in the Personalization anymore.

    Change for the sake of change, making every article from the last few years incorrect.

    Go to "Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Show time & date in the System Tray > Show seconds in system tray clock"
