Windows 11 network shows "connected no internet access" but I am online, can connect to most websites, but some win apps think I'm offline and do not work

Over the past few days my win 11 PC network connection started showing connected but no internet access status. I can get online and access most websites, but some windows apps like Spotify thinks I am offline and will not work. I think this may have happened after the most recent Win update. Have run network troubleshooter and rebooted my modem with no effect. See several references to this issue in Win 10 but nothing for Win 11., Very frustrating and would love to hear some possible fixes from the community.

    Hi,

    If Dell SmartByte Application is installed can you try uninstalling it.

    Thanks for the suggestion. Uninstalled Smartbyte and related services/drivers. Problem still exists.

    Love this forum... keep the ideas coming... there's got to be a solution out there.

    Can you provide the following information which may help determine any issue(s):

    Windows Key + R > type msinfo32 in the "Open" box > OK > File > Save > then save as an .nfo file

    Then make the resulting .nfo file available via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site.

    Also, can you do the following:

    Windows Key + R > type eventvwr in the "Open" box > OK > expand "Custom Views" and then right-click "Administrative Events" > select "Save all events in Custom View As" and save as an .evtx file

    Then make the resulting .evtx file available via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site.

    I've created these files and uploaded to One drive "C:\Users\jcoop\OneDrive\Public\MS Info"

    The files should not contain anything confidential but would show your user name, software installed, etc.

    You could delete the files afterwards.
