Windows 11 network shows "connected no internet access" but I am online, can connect to most websites, but some win apps think I'm offline and do not work

Over the past few days my win 11 PC network connection started showing connected but no internet access status. I can get online and access most websites, but some windows apps like Spotify thinks I am offline and will not work. I think this may have happened after the most recent Win update. Have run network troubleshooter and rebooted my modem with no effect. See several references to this issue in Win 10 but nothing for Win 11., Very frustrating and would love to hear some possible fixes from the community.

    Thanks for the quick suggestion. To clarify, are you suggesting clearing my browser cache or my computers cache?

    Have you already tried clearing cache? Please follow the steps below:

    1. Press the Windows key + R
    2. type wsreset.exe
    3. press Enter or click OK
    4. Let it run and try connecting the apps again to the Internet.
