Failed to install version 22h2 0xc190011f

I am trying to update windows to 22h2 in an attempt to troubleshoot another issue i am having (games crashing when booting up dx12 with shaders with "out of video memory" error, same games work on dx11 though) and i have tried multiple times to update to 22h2 but it continuously fails. Windows will download the update, restart, install the update up to 25% and crash with blue screen showing an error with NTFS.sys i believe. So maybe the drive is corrupted by i've do so much to try to fix that.

i have tried to the SFC scannow steps, chkdsk /f c:,

i've tried 2 separate m.2 drives booting win 11 on them each with a genuine microsoft win 11 usb/key,

i've done multiple clean installs on both drives

i've formatted/deleted the info on drives to do a clean install

i've tried multiple graphics cards for dx12/shader issue, same problem, so not the cards.

i've rolled back gpu drivers, reinstalled drivers, used DDU as well for that.

i've updated all my drivers in general.

installed cc cleaner to check rootkey/scan computer

installed malwarebytes to check for viruses/etc.

i've tried different ram, tried different ram slots and combinations like single slot, dual channel, quad channel

reapplied thermal paste on the cpu

removed/installed cmos battery

messed with shader cache in both nvidia and tried multiple pagefile configurations for virtual memory

tries start up repair which ends with something like (unable to fix the issue)

i think there's more that i've tried but ive been at this for about 12 work hours over the last couple of weeks with no success with my DX12/shader crashing issue and now this windows update issue.

My system specs are:

msi 4090 gaming trio

32gb 5600mhz corsair ram

1000w msi psu

asus z690-e wifi mobo

13900k processor

i'm desperate for answers for both the windows update issue and the games with dx12 crashing immediately at boot with preloading shaders like Hogwarts, callisto protocol, dead space remastered, kena, MW2, etc.

    Hi NovaCore2.

    With a new processor, a new SSD, and a 4090, everything worked perfectly.

    To be honest, at the system level, I can't give much more advice. Based on your latest test results, I think this is a hardware compatibility issue. Perhaps you can feedback this situation to the supplier of the motherboard to see if they can assist you in testing together to confirm the root cause of the problem.

    I think you are an inquisitive user and I think you can post this question to our advanced technology forum, Microsoft Learn, **** which aims to support more advanced users like you.

    But I'll leave that question open in case one of our amazing volunteers has ideas for you.

    It is strange you have such a situation such as you show. But I still have to believe something you are doing is causing the problem. It is always the games that seem to mess things up, so I would have to look at them. There are many drivers on the ASUS site that are hidden from view until you expand out the listing so possibly you are not getting them all installed. Your Device manager should not have any unknown devices.

    You might want to check the ASUS community to see if some of them might know. If you get your games through Steam, they might also have some folks with some experience. I don't remember you saying which version of the ASUS Z690 board you have but you might verify that forum is for those types of boards.

    And no way for us to know if your system is being restricted by the game makers. Let us know if you find an answer.

    i understand from your perspective you may think i am doing something wrong, however, this problem appeared out of nowhere initially and i have installed windows 10 on this machine the same exact way i did on the i5 13600k system i just built as well and it is having no issues.

    I used the same usb media creation drive, installed windows 10, downloaded all the windows updates, installed the drivers for asus, (the mobo driver is currently the latest one which will be below), installed steam, installed graphics card and drivers, install the games to test, and get the out of video memory issue. Here is the mobo driver:

    I am going to post the event viewer which shows the events before and after the game crashes. The most common factor i see with the crashes are files concerning .dll is always involved and sometimes i see windows defender show up as well. I tried turning off the antivirus and it does not fix the issue. I feel like there is something cached in the motherboard or somehow, the processor, which is not allowing me to have the complete .dll library.

    I have tried to see if i could transfer the Kernelbase.dll from another computer but the files on this computer do not allow me to interfere as if i am not the admin and no matter what i do, i cant get privileges to change that.

    .dll files i feel are the culprit and i dont know how to restore it and i am honestly surprised its doing this on a brand new drive i just bought to test this out. This is again, telling me this has to do with either the motherboard or the processor. The gpu has nothing to do with it hardware-wise because i've tried 3 gpus, and the 4090 which was the original card in the system is working fine with no issues on my i5 13600k system i just built. Also, i've tried the other pcie lane for the gpu which did not help at all either.

    i really appreciate your time and assistance trying to help me with this. i have never come across an issue this complicated to figure out. maybe its something so simple that i cant see it. or maybe not.

    What is the FVSDK? Some type of development kit for one of the games. I don't see it on my Callisto system.
