Windows 11 doesn't see any wifi networks during the setup process

I was trying to install windows 11 on my new laptop when I reached the next step "Let's connect you to a network" the PC could not find any available networks

even after connecting it directly to an ethernet cable.

So I tough the problem might be caused by the Wireless Lan drivers but when I open the Command Prompt and try to run the drivers the keyboard or mouse won't work (Even after trying with a wireless one too).

I got this issue and here what I did to resolve:

This is the first step to do:

go to your motherboard manufacturer website and down load the LAN driver for motherboard or WiFi driver for your laptop

unzip if needed and copy everything (after unzipped) to a USB thump drive,

Plug the USB drive to a USB port in your machine then do the followings:

  • At Let connect to the network screen,
  • Press Shift + F10: to bring up the CMD window
  • Type exflorer to bring up the file manager:
  • Browe to the location where you have to files in your USB drive
  • Look for a exeutable file (normally install.exe or setup.exe,....)

-Double click on it to run it

That's it, you now can continue with your setup process

    On a laptop, press shift+fn+f10, it took me a while to figure it out!

    If terminating ‘network connection flow’ does not work, and you’re still stuck on the same page; here is what you should do:

    1 .download your device wan (not lan) driver from manufacturer website.

    1. Extract it and move it to a usb
    2. Press shift + f10
    3. Then type ‘devmgmt’ it will open device manager, then find the network controller driver
    4. Click update driver then choose update from device and select your usb
    5. Then the driver will be installed and you can connect to a Wi-Fi/ hotspot and continue your installation
    6. Get the lan driver if you are going to use cable internet connection.

    Thank you A.user. U saved my day. Very appreciated. If u follow his steps it does work. You may have to try a few drives to execute the exe. Try E: drive F: drive or D: drives. Then launch the wifi exe.. mine was called aususetup.exe.... remember to unzip the files when putting it on the usb removable so the exe can be found. It really works👍💯😊
