Microsoft seems careless about its taskbar, even when we can move to the left or right in the prior versions, it keeps looking messy unless I need to install 3rd party app to clean the vertical taskbar's ugly appearance, i.e, a big width of vertical taskbar while containing all small icons. Mac os & Ubuntu dock are looking more polished at any left|right|bottom position.
How to move taskbar to vertical position in windows 11?
How do I move the task bar from horizontal position to vertical position? Company just installed windows 11 and I can't seem to figure out how to move it.

2024-08-14T14:50:18+00:00 When I was in the Army we used to have a saying around the round file cabinet; the one that gets emptied daily. I think Microsoft uses our feedback as a fodder for the round file cabinet.

Umm.... it was available in Windows NT
Worst...Windows...
'operating'...
System...
Ev-er...
(I'm including 3.1, because lets be fair, they were starting with a lot less)And the whole business of requiring TPM. They should allow TPM to be optional when certain old chipsets are detected. They could have allowed it. All that wasted silicon and manufacturing energy and metals.
I hope Steam / Valve releases a supported OS for PC, and gets Nvidia and AMD fully on board. Then I'm ditching Windows all together, and going Linux for work.
Its a shame. I used to be a genuine Microsoft supporter, even of some of their monopoly because it delivered everything working well together. I never resented purchasing an OS, when many didn't bother. Now stuff just doesn't even work 'period' (...giving you the side eye Teams). I hope Microsoft go subscription based for their OS, because I will see that as the ultimate 'instability' (risk/liability) and it will finally push me away once and for all.We need to resurrect the concept of 'User friendly'

Any update on when vertical task bar will be available?
It's very useful. Annoying to work without it.

(roll on Steam OS for PC. Then I'm going to Linux for work needs because I can junk Windows, and make a saving in 'time' and money there.. I'd prefer an OS like NT, 95, XP, 2000, Vista ,7 ,8 , 10 but that's not an option. We've got 11 instead.)
