I agree with all the posts in here. Bring back Snip and Sketch or add the functions it had to the Snipping tool. Did Microsoft actually review how people were using the tool before making changes?

I can't seem to find this. It didn't work on my initial install of Windows 11 and it was then deleted and I can't find where to reinstall. thanks.

2024-04-16T19:38:43+00:00 Windows 11 Snipping Tool has the ruler and those features? There must be version flavors, because the Win11 version I have is pen and highlighter only. Based on comments from others I feel like that's a more common version.

2024-04-16T19:53:20+00:00 Yeah, it was a very bad decision on their part. Drives me crazy when developers make decisions without asking the users.
The newest version of Snip and Sketch added
- Shapes
- Image crop (I haven't used it since the button has been added but you used to have to go to the three dots to the right to modify an image.)
- Text actions (I haven't used this either.)
- Type of "snip", e.g., rectangle, window, full screen, freeform
- Record
