My computer cursor won’t click on anything but it moves just fine , this is a windows ten I bought three years ago by the way. Anyone know why?

same here, i can't click anything after recent windows update. to got it work again i must do "ctrl+alt+delete" then select task manager with my keyboard, and the problem is gone.

the problem occcured when first booted and when the device wakes up from sleep.

Exact same thing happens to me. Happens daily, pretty much anytime I step away from my computer from my computer after it goes into sleep mode. Has happened since I first initiated the system (Windows 11, 2024 Precision 7680)

I started having the same issue with my mouse today, after windows 11 version 23H2 update

I was told to upgrade my windows 10 on my Medion Akoya S2218 laptop by Windows. When the laptop was passed over to me the cursor was working normally as I had communicated with Windows by typing and clicking. Once I started using the laptop on my own the cursor moved but did not 'click onto the object'.

Im trying to open device manager but it wont let me. I can open up the search bar from my homepage but thats it. I can only move around my mouse and also when i click the power button in my pc it does nothing. The only way I can shut of my pc is holding the power button down from the pc itself. I dont know what to do and i really need help

I have 6 windows computers in my house and they all do the same thing. At this point, I'd have to assume it's a windows bug.

When is Microsoft going to address this issue? have been happening for over 2 years and there's no fix. no, your ctrl + alt + del it's not a fix, neither Windows Key + L. or a fresh install or a clean boot. NONE are fixes. they're temporary solutions (if you can call having to do a cltr + alt + del EACH MINUTE a temporary solution)

This issue makes your whole OS a brick. it's unusable, not having the ability to click anything anywhere on your OS it's like going anywhere with a car that doesn't have a motor. Microsoft doesn't seem to care about any of its customers since all the replies are from volunteers who gladly seem to help (to some people, none of their fixes helped me). There's no official statement. there's no bug number, no case not anything. just an OS that nobody needed and somehow, it's still the standard.

Such a shameful company.
