My computer won’t click on anything at all but it moves just fine. The computer just started acting up this morning. Anyone know why?

It happened to me about three weeks ago exactly the way you said it,it works perfectly in a fixed window but can't work out of the window except when you close it or lock and unlock your System, it is sincerely frustrating I have ran 2 malware scan,reset the system,boot in safe mode, create new user,restart windows explorer,use mouse but same problem still persists
It would be a little difficult to do most of the things you suggested if computer won't let you click on anything to get access to update drivers or getting into your device manager.
One thing though, I did sfc /scannow and it did find something corrupted. It then bring the frequency from 10+ times per day to like 2-3 times per day...

I get the same thing my win11 laptop will not click. I find it is worse with the Bluetooth mouse than the wired mouse. So I have both connected as I prefer the wired one. When the BT stops behaving I move to the wired one and vica versa.
