how do u move the taskbar to the left side of the screen

Watch, they will very quickly lock this question, mark it as resolved, and not even let any more people add their complaints. That is what they do. That is what they have always done. I wonder if Bill Gates even knows or cares how his money making machine has devolved into this garbage.

For all of you seeking an answer to a question, look at the top of the page. It is clearly a mechanism to sell you yet another Microsoft money machine product. None of their products work for **** anymore. The only one that does is Visual Studio. They decided to make that available for free to developers. That was great. They should have done a lot more of that after making a horde of billionaires and millionaires. No, they don't give a rat's **** about the customers. It's all about the money. You can't get any customer support from them at all. They've set up a process that takes you around a massive maze of endless rabbit holes in a merry-go-round that ends back at the same starting point without any resolution. Has anyone been caught in their insane Windows activation ****? Has anyone seen what their licensing scheme has turned into?

I've spent more than 20 hours trying to fix this issue, but could not! TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME MICROSOFT!!!

This works for me:

1. Download and install https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher
2. Settings: "Primary taskbar location on screen: left"
3. Click "Restart File Explorer"

I tried that. The instructions given in GitHub say to set the properties there, but you don't have to do that. The taskbar now behaves as it did in Windows 10. You can drag it to any position you want.

PS Wouldn't it be nice if the team of MS experts had known this answer from the start? The reason the never do is that they're trained to give the MS answer only. That's what they always do best, and of course, that will always lead to the mess you find here.
