how do u move the taskbar to the left side of the screen

wow, how do I revert to the older system, this windows 11 update is horrible.

It's 2024 Microsoft! Everyone uses widescreen monitors!! For this reason, many people are were moving their taskbars to the sides of the monitor to free up more vertical space! Unfortunately Microsoft, you've once again removed essential functionality, and decided to remove the ability to move the taskbar to the sides (or top) of the screen.

Explorer Patcher is great! I would recommend it.

Unfortunately, security doesn't allow me to install it on my work laptop. Understandable, given that it replaces Windows system files. The bottomline is that we shouldn't have to resort to a third-party hack for such absolutely basic, fundamental customization options.

Not the best to do, but the only way I found so far.

I hope Microsoft will work on that fix soon.

Since you're hellbent on making us have Apple OS, why didn't you just allow us to make the taskbar transparent? We can't make the icons small, we can't move the taskbar to free up vertical space on our 16x9 displays. We can't adjust the size of the taskbar... all we can do it hide it or hide labels.

Oh... we can now have badges on the taskbar!! I guess that makes up for all the functionality we used to have but was taken away.

Microsoft, why do you sign off on allowing your engineers to remove trusted and fully-used functionality for absolutely no reason whatsoever? You do it repeatedly. Have you not yet learned a less on on how not to do things from Windows Mobile?

One positive thing you've done is you've moved your products to the internet, completely eliminating the need for a product (Windows) that continues to make itself useless and pushing users to Chromebooks!
