This is absolutely ridiculous. It's not 1998 anymore. Nobody is using screens with a 4:3 aspect ratio anymore. If they were somehow forced to support only one orientation of the taskbar, it clearly should have been vertically, at the side of the screen. Not horizontally, where it wastes valuable vertical screen real estate which nobody has enough of.
how do u move the taskbar to the left side of the screen
How do u move the taskbar to the left side of the screen?

2024-01-10T17:34:05+00:00 I am a recent victim to the enhanced features of Windows 11, getting company "upgrade". I do not have admin permission to patch. I didn't know how lucky i was to decline the "upgrade" to Windows 11 on my personal. I also use 3 monitors. One horizontal and one vertical, and the laptop screen for emails and tasks. Not having the side task bars does not let me multi task. So last century.
I can only hope continual posts to this message board will force MS to bring back the side task bar! Please!

2024-01-21T17:18:50+00:00 Why, why on earth did you take out one of the most useful features of Windows?!!!!!
Also the new Start menu, in Win10 it was so much more comfortable to group the pinned apps.
This new Windows version is so ****#d up.

2024-01-21T19:22:37+00:00 Thank you, as I did not know about this. Feedback hub had 27,000 comments and likes there on one comment about this alone. And a reply from Jennifer of Microsoft from year ago stating that "We'll be continuing to evolve Windows 11 and its features based on feedback like this, so thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback", which says they are not going to anything about it.
