Agree!! This stupid taskbar is the sole reason I do not change my home computer to Windows 11.

Please change this ASAP. Work just gave me a new computer so I can't change operators. Having the taskbar on the side reduces the amount of space it takes up. I've had it like this for a decade or more! Why the change Microsoft?

How is this still not a thing at the end of 2024?

Just updated my company laptop to win11, had my Taskbar on the left 20+ years now.

This answer didn't help at all. You misread the question. We don't need to align icons to the left, but move the whole taskbar to the left side of the screen. Like it can be done in any previous version of windows, if you just unlock taskbar and move it by mouse wherever you want.

This MUST indicate that Microsoft are on shaky grounds - there's no way that any developers worth their salt would have had let this through. If the marketeers and financiers have a chokehold on the developers/ engineers, it's a pretty big warning sign, look at what happened to Boeing.
