This advice does not answer the question - it moves the information on the taskbar to the left of the taskbar whereas the question was, how can you move the taskbar to the left of the screen? I imagine that many people would want to move the whole taskbar to the right or left of the screen; I can't imagine many people being bothered about whether the icons on the taskbar are left- or centre-aligned.
The taskbar issue is preventing me from using excel tabs, tabs in google sheets, using any button on any program that is under the taskbar, sharing when I am working and doing virtual visits - it is really disrupting work.
In addition, I can no longer use my touch pad because windows 11 has put my computer permanently into tablet mode removing the option to switch between desktop and tablet. I had to buy a mouse to continue to use my computer which means when I do remote visits I have to drag everything with me and hope there is space to have the mousepad and mouse.
This has become so inconvenient and really impacts productivity.
I'm sure you've registered your displeasure on the Feedback Hub, because complaining here will get you nowhere.

Sorry, link worked earlier, this worked as of 9:52:46 PM November 16, 2023,
https://github.com/gjf/Windows-11-ExplorerPatcher-Installer
This tool allows to install/uninstall/update an ExplorerPatcher (dxgi.dll or ep_setup.exe) - a wonderful tool from Valentin-Gabriel Radu available at https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher
Works with both x64 and x32.
You can check the source in Win11EP.bat (yes, I am so dumb and lazy that I make this tool as command-line batch) or simply use compiled Win11EP.exe.
Moves the taskbar itself to the left side of the computer monitor screen like Windows 10 taskbar, NOT JUST the bar's information as so many answers to this question accomplish.
I had some tool that let me drag the taskbar to the left. That worked for a few years, until the MS update today. Via your link it returned to the left side again, GREAT!!!
What I did:
>PLOP<, the taskbar jumped back to the left!!!!
