how do u move the taskbar to the left side of the screen

I have no idea what Microsoft is thinking. On a screen veritical space is more precious than horizonal space.

There are instructions (see) a page or so back about delaying for a whioe 24H2. I couldn't get them working. If anyone can read my post and figure out instruction that will work for me, I'd appreciate it.

Apparently Microsoft is killing off the ability for all third party apps to move the Task Bar in 24H2.

They want to force the entire world to have the task bar AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN ONLY DAMMIT! No one knows very than a Microsoft product manager how we should be using Windows.

I have prevented my Win 11 system from updating to 24H2 when it rolls out, while also continuing to allow security updates.

ExplorerPatcher is brilliant - it makes the task bar so much more configurable.

I'd never seen the Unlock Taskbar option before, whilst using it, not with 22H2 and not now, with 23H2.

But - I've found the 'fix' - set it to 'Windows 10' style taskbar, not 'Windows 11' style!

For anyone not convinced - here's a screenshot of my Windows 11 desktop (complete with version/build number) along with my (very customised) Start Menu and, most importantly, the Task Bar pinned to the left side of the screen. On the right, is the ExplorerPatcher properties window, with the 'essential' setting highlighted!
