    I agree with you 100% It might go down easier with a Microsoft Announcement explaining why after over a decade they must change it and without giving us a work around.

    @MSTF

    I spent a lot of money on my my monitors. As a developer, vertical screen space is extremely valuable and scarce. Not being able to move the task bar impacts my productively. At least 5 other developers I work with are SUPER pissed about this since adopting windows 11. This basic capability has been available since Windows 95. Please fire whatever product manager made this decision and stop giving idiots positions of power. This is totally unacceptable.

    I agree with you 100%.

    I have a third party app (Display Fusion) that is a multi-monitor app that supports task bars on additional monitors. This runs on Windows 11. On additional monitors, I can move their task bar to the left of the screen, on Windows 11.

    However, they don't support replacing Windows 11 task bar on the primary monitor, though they have received requests to do so for possible consideration in future features.

    Windows 11 developers won't let us "move" the task bar as we could in previous OS versions, but even third party apps that support task bars on non-primary monitors can move their task bars, anywhere. How sad is that?

    Come on MS, get your act together and fix this glaring flaw.
