Same here. I have been using Windows with taskbar on the left side for 12 years and I am not updating to windows 11 just because of this.

It is useless to have it on the bottom taking up precious vertical space on a laptop monitor.

2024-01-10T08:28:45+00:00 This is absolutely ridiculous. It's not 1998 anymore. Nobody is using screens with a 4:3 aspect ratio anymore. If they were somehow forced to support only one orientation of the taskbar, it clearly should have been vertically, at the side of the screen. Not horizontally, where it wastes valuable vertical screen real estate which nobody has enough of.
