The alexa app on the microsoft store isnt there what do I do?

as someone with exactly the same problem i.e. cannot get Alexa on my PC. Does any one know which select PC's are or are not allowed Alexa. Whats the rational behind whether your PC is or is not allowed Alexa?

Came here for the same issue. I have a pc connected to the main tv at the living room, and is used as a home theater pc. After I found there was an Alexa for Windows, I wanted to install it so I could see the cameras from the main couch when required. Did a search in the Microsoft store and it was not available as it happens with everyone here. So I clicked on the link offered at the beginning of this post, but instead of clicking in "Open Microsoft Store" (in which will not appear even from there), just click on that page directly on "Install". It opens a small square Microsoft store on the middle, and offers to install the software. After clicking on "Get", it got installed without issues. Tested from Edge but from Firefox it behaves the same. If it makes any difference, the region of my pc is setup to United States. Hope this helps any one with the same issue.

Here is Amazon's FAQ --- which said the same thing --- it is available for select pc's.

Cool, thanks for the info. So they are pretty much pushing Amazon out. If my hardware hasn't changed, and I was able to use it previously, then they've just restricted/removed the app.

Microsoft and Amazon had a deal dated 2017. That deal expired a long time ago when Microsoft pulled the plug on Cortana.
