Cant Activate Windows 11 after BIOS Update !

Oh man, if only I'd seen this sooner. Got fed up after spending my entire day off on this nonsense, and just bought another key. :/

I'm having the exact same issue. Had a Windows 11 installation upgraded from 10, upgraded from 8. Everything was working just fine, Windows was fully activated... until I updated the BIOS on my motherboard. Now I'm getting the same activation error. When I go to "I changed hardware recently" I can select my desktop with the correct motherboard shown, but when I click "Activate" it says "we can't activate your copy of Windows as the digital license for this device has already been used to reactivate Windows" - which is true. I used it 2 days ago when I did a fresh install of Windows 11 upgrading from Windows 10.

So far Support has told me that it might work to reinstall Windows 8(!), reactivate using the original product key from when I bought the computer, and then upgrade to Windows 11 from there. No, thank you - not after I just spent days getting Windows 11 properly set up.

I flashed back. Did not help. Someone else did so and was lucky enough to have his resolved, even after flashing up again.

Did he flash back a backed up version or a fresh (old) version from the internet.
if he backed up his older bios he might have had a saved key into that backed up file (from his old bios) from his.

I might have pressed reset bios after the bios update, maybe that got rid of the key after the update?

Mine still shows open and logged over 48 hours ago. No contact Really shocking service IMO

This is how their ticket system apparently works:

They dont call, they dont email, they just mark it as "Issue resolved"
