Windows does not detect second display after windows update.

All drivers are freshly installed and up to date. Graphics card is barely a year old and all cables also checked. The monitor thats not detected does work also.

Everything worked until 2days ago when windows updated and now windows does not detect the second display.

Please help thank you.

I understand that after an update the second monitor is not detected;

What exactly is the model and manufacturer of your graphics card?

Are you using an HDMI cable to connect the second monitor?

Are you using a laptop or desktop?

Before answering the question, I suggest you try to force the detection of the second monitor;

Press Windows key + i and go to System;

Click Display;

Scroll down to Multiple screens, click Detect;

Then press the keys together: Windows key + P and select the Extend option;

Verify that the second monitor is detected;

    I just recently had the issue, I have an older Intel nuc specifically the nuc8i7HNK and it’s hooked up to 2 sceptre monitors. For a while I ran one monitor and recently hooked the second back up to see that it would not detect it. I tried everything but the only thing that worked was going into the optional updates and updating some display drivers there. I updated each driver I saw there and after restarting both movies were working correctly.

    i hyave an amd radeon rx 6500 xt graphics card it has an hdmi port and display port with correct wires i reset my pc one night and now it wont detect the second monitor for the display port. i have already reset my pc multiple times

    The same thing happened to me today. It shows two screens (1 and 2) but the second screen is not detected. I've unplugged it. I could not roll back driver. It says the undetected screen has the lasted driver and is updated. Now what?
