Windows 11 task bar won't stay hidden

Yeah I've tried everything under the sun to try and get these settings to stay the way I have set them. Nothing new has been added to my taskbar because my computer never goes online. The only thing I use my computer for is to store films, pictures, music... All it is is a music player/dvd player/picture player.. I never go online with it I don't really use the internet for much of anything other than what I do through my smartphone. Another thing I've had trouble deactivating is quick access. I can turn it off and it'll stay off for a day or so and then it just turns itself right back on displaying all of my private stuff for the whole world to see which is why I hate quick access. And then there's the taskbar issue which I have tried about 13 or 14 different things and none of it is a permanent fix. Obviously Microsoft's wants this broken hence the reason why this has been a multiple year-long problem and has never been addressed nor fixed. I guess we won't see better options until Windows 12 comes out because Windows 11 is a joke. I'm sorry but I've had one laptop and one desktop that operate on Windows 11 and I have hated them both. Well I don't hate the computers the computers are good I hate the operating system AKA Windows 11. I had finally gotten used to Windows 10 and liked it and of course now it's basically obsolete and then replaced by absolute garbage. So yeah my inability to permanently turn off quick access and then my inability to keep taskbar hidden are two continuous problems. We may as well bring Windows 8 back at this point 😅

what a nightmare to have this problem come back. i read somewhere that if you add something NEW to your task bar that remains active it will keep your task bar from hiding.

jason sine submitted problem with task bar wont stay hidden. also that task bar wont stay hidden because it is already hidden on another screen. the thread we were on was closed the same day so i couldnt give him this solution to try. To hide the taskbar on another screen in Windows 11, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors and uncheck the box next to "Show my taskbar on all displays.". This will ensure the taskbar only appears on your primary monitor. 

Key points:

• Access settings: Open the Start menu, then click on "Settings".
• Navigate to Taskbar: Select "Personalization" and then "Taskbar".
• Toggle visibility: Under "Taskbar behaviors", uncheck the "Show my taskbar on all displays" option.  note this was a google answer to the question and may not work. perhaps a different wording of the problem would bring better results. P.S oh good. microsoft merged ME opening a similar question with the old question to keep this thread open. my taskbar has remained hidden for many months but i keep being advised that many get the problem back if they can fix the problem. very interested in how the taskbar could already be hidden on another monitor that doesnt exist to your knowledge.

Well my friend.. here we are again. As always, I have tried everything and there simply is not a definite solution to this problem. I think it's just a defect in Windows 11. Honestly I wish they would scrap Windows 11. I never asked for this garbage operating system in the first place. When I bought my computer, I was in a hurry and didn't look and assumed it was Windows 10 but it is this trashy Windows 11 which I have hated since day one. I've tried everything and my computer will go for a little while and then it goes right back to telling me the same nonsense about how I already have a taskbar hidden on another screen. I have never dual monitored this computer out so there are no other monitors that this taskbar has been hidden on. The only thing I can figure is that one it's either a defective operating system with a permanent bug that Google just doesn't care to fix or somebody is remoting in on my computer spying on me and that's why it keeps telling me that my taskbar is hidden on another screen. What other screen? You know what I'm saying? If there's another screen it's because it belongs to somebody else who is remoting in on my computer. I doubt that it's that though because I'm never online, but I do think it's just a permanent bug in Windows 11 and Google is so ridiculous they don't fix anything nor care about anybody's complaints anymore nor have they actually since probably about 2015. Google doesn't respond to anything that isn't an automated response. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with resetting the hide the taskbar option every dozen logins. As I've stated.. nothing works I try something it works for about 8 to 10 different logins and then it's right back to square one with the same problem over and over and over and over and over again so pardon my French, but to hell with it. I give up and I'll just deal with it and reset it every single time it gives me this nonsense about task bars being hidden on invisible imaginary screens that have never existed. 🙄
