FSX API.dll

Hi,

Lately my Microsoft Flight Simulator X has been crashing with API.dll as the faulting module.

This is probably caused by a Windows update dating back from April.

There is absolutely nothing one can do to fix this, unless rolling back the update is possible, which it isn't.

The update that's causing the crashes is most likely "KB5025221".

What can I do?

I select the plane and airport and click on FLY, while it loads it closes on its own with an error fsx.exe API.dll

Hi,

For me

Using FSX SP1 SP2 accelaration, ivao program, simtoolkitpro fsxwx.

crash is coming with api.dll at differents moments.

at the firt page of FSX

at the launch of fsx

when i launch simtooolkitpro

when i launch IVAO program

when i launch fsxwx

and when all is good i have no crash or after 1 hour of flight.

currently i use A320 aerosoft

Did you try running the simulator without ANY of those programs running?

yes of course I have a lot of programs in the background (IVAO, Acars Virtual Airline, Navigraph, FsxWx...) but they have always been there and they have NEVER caused me problems.
