Both the old and new Thunderbird folders have the "read only" attribute.
Again, as noted above, that setting is irrelevant and normal. You will see that on all folders. It's not related to your "blacklisted" issue.

I have tried CMD checks and fixes. Done a clean boot. Have installed take ownership plug-in. Changed controlled folder access which was set to off. I have replaced the folder with a newly created one and copied the files back into the new one and it has the same issue as the old folder. The folder that is affected is C:\Users\USER\Appdata\Roaming\Vortex\downloads.
I need this folder to not be read only as Vortex cannot function with the folder permissions as they are.

I am experiencing a similar issue while attempting to transfer the Thunderbird email profile folder to my new computer. My old computer was running Windows 10 with all of the updates. My new computer is running Windows 11. I am following the Mozilla Thunderbird directions on transferring my Profile folder. Both the old and new Thunderbird folders have the "read only" attribute. As I attempt to copy over the old Profile folder, I get a warning window that the folder is "blacklisted". I don't know what blacklisting means other than it will not allow me to transfer the old email files into the new computer Thunderbird folder. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.
I have same issue. Folders are marked as read-only and my CAD-software crashes everytime when it trying to save library elements into the folder. Regular projects saving are ok. So it's not just a sandbox issue.
Does it look the following image? If so, that's normal, you will see that on all folders, and your issue is caused by something else.
.
If that's not what you see, please copy and paste a screenshot.

I still need to remove the read-only setting for one of the folders in C: drive
The folder's "read-only" status, marked as a solid block, is normal (see screenshot in my earlier post). You will see that on all folders.
Whatever issues you're encountering have nothing to do with that.
