I use lightshot as it's the most convenient tool for taking screen snippets I've ever experienced, but after my new laptop updated last week, lightshot is no longer running from the background. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but did not work.

The interesting thing happened to me yesterday. I installed some other updates and restarted my laptop. And then Lightshot stopped working and I couldn't see it in the System Tray. I ran it manually and it didn't help. Then I ran it with Admin permissions and it's working again.
Hey Everyone, I was able to fix this issue by disabling the Use the Print Screen to open screen capture option in the Settings app. However, if you will simply go and disable this option, Lightshot will work one time but after that the problem will return. To fix the issue permanently, first uncheck theGeneral hotkey box in Lightshot settings then disable the Use the Print Screen to open screen capture option in the Settings app. Then, check the General hotkey box in Lightshot settings. After that, you'll notice that you're no longer facing the issue.

Yes, thank you. You're right but with one condition: if a user didn't reinstall the Lightshot.
If a user uninstalled and installed Lightshot, it's too late because there is no Lightshot icon in the System tray after installation.
Exactly. I even set to open Lightshot as Administrator when the windows starts, but it still doesn't show in the system tray. I even tried to install older versions of Lightshot but the problem persists. I don't know what to do anymore.
Similar situation here! I have tried all above actions but still nothing. The main issue is that although it runs at the background it does not appear at the tray....so nothing you can do with its properties and key combinations.
