Lightshot not working after windows update

I use lightshot as it's the most convenient tool for taking screen snippets I've ever experienced, but after my new laptop updated last week, lightshot is no longer running from the background. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but did not work.

    To be 100% honest, I've also installed a few firmware updates for my DELL laptop. I didn't mention it because I can hardly imagine it has something to do with Lightshot as this is just a software application. But who knows how "deep they dive" in their code :) So, maybe it's worth checking whether you have any hardware/firmware updates available for you.

    I have verified all steps and, like Vaios, does not work for me...

    The property of hot key is turned off.

    There are no updates Windows is updated with the lasts updates:

    Can someone advice us an alternative?

    All steps already done.....it did not work for me :-(

    It just runs in the background and not appearing at the tray. None key combination works.

    prerequisites: the hot key for the snipping tool is off

    1. I uninstalled Lightshot
    2. then I installed the following updates: 2023-08 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5028948) 2023-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5029263) 2023-08 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5029351) 2023-08 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5029718)
    3. restarted the laptop
    4. then I ran the Lightshot installation with Admin permissions ("run as administrator" option in the right-click menu for "setup-lightshot.exe"

    and it works for me now :)
