Hi,

on an HP computer click on Start and type HP System Event Utility: right click on it and remove this application, this will stop caps and num notification.

I had the same thing happening on my Dell laptop. I had to go to Computer Management -> Services -> Dell Peripheral Manager and stop the service. That immediately stopped the annoying notifications. I set that service to start manually instead of automatic. I hope this helps someone.

THERE IS NO "KEY SETTINGS TAB" IN THE CONTROL PANEL (WITH LARGE ICONS ON). WHAT CONTROL PANEL SELECTION IS IT? Since this interface won't allow me to paste a screenshot, here are the choices I get in Windows 10 w/all updates:

Admin Tools, AutoPlay, Backup, Bitlocker, Color, Config Mgr, Cred Mgr, Date/Time, Default Progs, Devices, Device Mgr, Ease of Access, File Explorer, File History, Fonts, Indexing, Internet, Keyboard, Mail, Mouse, Network, Phone, Power, Programs, Recovertm Region, RemoteApp, Security, Speech Rec, Sound, Storage, SupportAssist, Sync, System, Taskbar, Troubleshooting, User Accts, Defender, Mobility, Work folders. Keyboard does not have the caplock, only repeate and cursor blink rate. Microsoft should have the most accurate answer and does NOT.

    [ACER USERS]

I had the same issue and found out that it was caused by Acer's "Quick Access Service".

    From here you can either:

    1. Disable the Service completely (losing access to other Quick Access features).
    2. Manually disable the Caps Lock and Bloc Num notifications (keeping access to other Quick Access features).

    > Note that with Option 2, you will need to do it again everytime you restart your computer.

    Option 1:

    1. Press Windows + R to open Run, type msconfig in the text field, and click hit Enter.
    2. Go to the Services tab, sort by Manufacturer so that "Acer Incorporated" is on top, select "Quick Access Service" and disable it.
    3. Restart your computer.

    Option 2:

    1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open Task Manager, search for QAAdmin and end the task.
