Hi,

on an HP computer click on Start and type HP System Event Utility: right click on it and remove this application, this will stop caps and num notification.

I had the same thing happening on my Dell laptop. I had to go to Computer Management -> Services -> Dell Peripheral Manager and stop the service. That immediately stopped the annoying notifications. I set that service to start manually instead of automatic. I hope this helps someone.

I had this issue and could not solve it by any of the suggestions in this thread. For me it was the app Logi options+ that was the culprit. In there you can go to settings and turn off notifications for Caps Lock, Num Lock, Scroll Lock and Fn Lock.

I found a solution after I started getting caps/num lock notifications on November 12/2024 on two of my computers. It is caused by the "Logitech Options+" software which was installed for my Logitech mouse a long time ago.

Run the software and click on the settings icon wheel on the top right corner. Then scroll down and turn off the switch labeled "Caps Lock, Num Lock, Scroll Lock and FN Lock notifications"

If you do not have this software on your computer, go to Control Panels to check that you don't have any other recent software installed that may be the culprit. That's how I discovered it was the Logitech software after an update came through the day before. That's when I noticed this annoying problem.
