How to disable Caps Lock notification?

Hi everyone there is this annoying caps lock notification thats pops up on the top middle of my screen when I'm in a game it switches out the tabs and it freezes my computer hence I would like to get rid of it, I already tried the ease of access thing and turned of the unnecessary notifications but it still pops up please help my computer is a lenovo think pad T460

Hi,

on an HP computer click on Start and type HP System Event Utility: right click on it and remove this application, this will stop caps and num notification.

I had the same thing happening on my Dell laptop. I had to go to Computer Management -> Services -> Dell Peripheral Manager and stop the service. That immediately stopped the annoying notifications. I set that service to start manually instead of automatic. I hope this helps someone.

Hi,

I tried your suggestions, but did not work. I've had this computer for 2 years (operating Windows 10) and yesterday that icon popped up and I did not make any changes to my settings. Of your instructions - I get to the first two steps without a problem. But when I click on keyboard - there are no setting tabs. The tabs I have are SPEED and HARDWARE

The Hardware tab has: HID Keyboard Device and when I click on that I get 4 tabs: General, Driver, Details and Events. There is also an option to "Change Settings" and when I click on that, I get the same 4 options, plus Power Management.

THERE IS NO Display Cap Lock Status.

Very frustrating and I appreciate any help you can offer.

Found the Dell Peripheral Manager, though it had no peripherals showing due to the work setup at my job. But if you click on settings the caplock notification is right there! Thanks so much. You were had the only helpful info! It worked for me!

Hello! My name is Mostafa; I will assist you today.

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

Hit the Windows key & type: Control Panel and then open it.

Now change the View by to Large Icons & open Keyboard.

Then steer to the Key Settings tab & double-click on Caps Lock.

Now uncheck ‘Displays Caps Lock Status on Screen’ & reboot your PC.

Upon reboot, check if the system is clear of the caps lock notification.

If that does not help, It is probably caused by an OEM utility, preinstalled app on your laptop. To find out, perform a clean boot.

Press Windows + R to open Run, type msconfig in the text field, and click hit Enter.

Go to the Services tab, tick the checkbox for Hide all Microsoft services, and then click on Disable All.

Now, navigate to the Startup tab, and click on Open Task Manager.

Select any apps that read Enabled under the Status column, and click Disable.

Once done, head back to System Configuration, and click on Apply and OK.

Click on Restart in the prompt that appears.

After the PC restarts, check if the problem is fixed. If yes, one of the processes or services you disabled earlier is the underlying cause.

Now, enable the services and startup apps one at a time unless the problematic one is identified, and then make sure to disable it.
