Dear Community,

I have a problem since months,

I've windows 11 Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621. When I click the time in the right bottom side of my taskbar, the calendar does not show up or display. This is very annoying because I have to use it for my work. Any ideas on how to fix this?

seems to work now.
Click on your clock and the notification bar will open > go to the line at the bottom, that displays the current date/day > there is a pointing-up-arrow on the right side on that field, when you click that it will open the monthly calendar.

Had this recently - think I may have figured out the underlying cause.

When I restarted my machine I had a notification saying that I had had problems connecting to my microsoft account

I'm guessing that if for whatever reason the machine can't connect to my hotmail account (hotmail server having a wobbly or whatever local issue) - then it can't find the appointments on the calendar, and so the side panel doesn't pop out to show them - which actually means you can't even see the (empty) calendar pane - I'm also guessing this might not be locally stored - or if it is the it's probably Eventual consistency - Wikipedia - and that there might be clashes with dropbox/onedrive/whatever which may also be a contributing factor.

if you need to see your calendar I'd suggest turning those off temporarily - rebooting your machine, check you are logged into your MSaccount and if I'm right about the issue about you might find that helps, and then you can look at retarting dropbox/onedrive etc

Press and hold or right-click any empty space on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings. Under Taskbar corner icons: Select On for any icons you want to see on the taskbar. Select Off for any icons you don't want to see on the taskbar.
