I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.Windows does not have a switch to turn off efficiency mode. This is by design.
That being said, you can turn off Edge's efficiency mode at the following page:
edge://settings/system

The Windows 11 Efficiency Mode applies to any .exe program and will reduce performance of the application. There appears to be no registry setting to turn this off. BUT it appears that most modern programs honor the --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess command line option.
To stop the efficiency mode for any .exe, create a shortcut to the exe then update the TARGET to include this flag. For Example, for ESRI's ArcGIS Pro software the Target in the shortcut would become:
"C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\ArcGISPro.exe" --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess
This same pattern appears to work for a shortcut for to ANY .exe (e.g., works for your Chrome and Edge shortcuts).
Good afternoon Lawrence, I think you are not understanding or are playing dumb, the problem is not with EDGE but with the entire operating system, we want to disable this feature for all applications, is it clear now or do you want me to draw it...
I'm also having a windows efficiency problem. I'm doing a file transfer from my computer to my NAS. The file transfer is going to take 22hrs now because of the efficiency setting. How do I disable it for large file transfers? I've got the computer in high performance mode and checked to make sure that there was no eco settings checked.
Let's hope Microsoft can do better with the next update.
